This is a transitionary phase from nursery to formal schooling and thus, is handled with extreme care. Emphasis is given on formal teaching methods along with play, to make it easy for kids to adjust to formal schooling. Children are taught to use their analytical and logical skills to strengthen their self-esteem and self-independence. The use of basic mathematical operations like addition and subtraction is encouraged through practical activities, to help children understand numbers and their use.
